Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellation Before Work Commences
If cancellation is requested before substantive professional work has commenced, the client may be eligible for a refund of the professional fee paid, subject to deduction of payment gateway charges, government/third-party charges already incurred and expressly agreed non-recoverable expenses.
2. Cancellation After Work Has Commenced
Once professional work has commenced, including document review, legal research, title search, RERA research, preparation of observations, drafting or report preparation, the amount refundable, if any, will depend on the work already completed. Fees attributable to work already performed will ordinarily not be refundable.
3. Completed Reports
Once the agreed final report has been prepared and delivered, the professional fee relating to that completed service is generally not refundable. Where there is a demonstrable service deficiency attributable to us, the matter may be reviewed and an appropriate corrective measure may be offered, subject to the circumstances and applicable law.
4. Agreement / Document Review
Cancellation after substantive review has commenced will be treated as cancellation after commencement of professional work. Once the review has been completed and observations delivered, the service will ordinarily be treated as completed.
5. Drafting Services
Once drafting work has commenced, the professional fee attributable to the work performed will ordinarily not be refundable. If cancellation occurs before drafting begins, the client may request a refund subject to applicable deductions.
6. Registration & Government Services
Government fees, stamp duty, registration charges, search fees, certified-copy charges, authority fees and other third-party payments are separate from professional fees and are generally non-refundable once paid/incurred. Any refund will depend on the relevant authority's rules.
7. Delay Caused by Client
We are not responsible for delays caused by failure to provide documents, incomplete or incorrect information, delay in signing, failure to respond, non-availability of government/authority records, third-party delay or changes in transaction terms. Such delays do not automatically create a right to refund.
8. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will ordinarily be processed to the original payment method, subject to payment processor and banking timelines. Requests should be sent to [refund@verifymyproperty.in] with client name, service reference, payment date, reason for cancellation and payment reference.
9. No Waiver of Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to take away any right or remedy available under applicable law.
